- PASSPORTS AND VISAS
Visa Support and General Information on Visa Requirements
Visa Requirements and Planning:
Clients are responsible for ensuring they meet all relevant international passport and visa requirements well in advance of their arrival in Mongolia. This includes understanding visa requirements, the duration of their stay, and any travel restrictions.
You can apply for a visa at the Mongolian embassy or consulate in your home country using our tour confirmation letter, which will be provided after your booking deposit is received. If there is no Mongolian embassy or consulate in your country, a one-month visa can be obtained upon arrival at Ulaanbaatar’s airport or railway station.
General Guidance:
While we are happy to provide general guidance on visa requirements, it is ultimately your responsibility to confirm the most up-to-date information before your trip, as regulations are subject to change.

- INSURANCE
At NUR ALTAI TOUR, we prefer and accommodate our clients’ safety, convenience, and enjoyment first because this is the most important aspect of our business. Travel insurance must be reliable and comprehensive whenever you travel abroad. We recommend WorldNomads.com, which is well-managed, flexible, and reliable in its arrangements.
- YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
By booking with Nur Altai Tour, you acknowledge and accept the inherent risks and hazards associated with our tours. You agree to take full responsibility for your actions and personal safety throughout the journey.
You and your fellow travelers should be in suitable physical condition to participate in the chosen itinerary and be aware of the potential risks inherent in adventure travel. If you follow a special diet or have any health issues or conditions, you must inform us at the time of booking.
You are responsible for covering your own personal equipment, gratuities, airport taxes, visa fees, vaccinations, additional food and beverages, personal spending money, travel insurance, and any other activities or provisions not included in the itinerary. To ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of you and your group, you are required to follow the instructions of the tour guide at all times. We kindly request that you treat all Nur Altai Tour staff—including tour guides, drivers, cooks—and fellow travelers with respect throughout the journey.
**Code of Conduct and Complaint Policy**
Inappropriate behavior, including physical altercations, verbal abuse of other travelers or staff, or any actions that disrupt the comfort of others, is strictly prohibited. Any individual engaging in such behavior will be required to leave the tour without compensation. Smoking inside any vehicle is also strictly prohibited.
- OUR RESPONSIBILITIES
At Nur Altai Tour, ensuring the highest quality of service and fulfilling travel arrangements as agreed upon at the time of booking are our top priorities. However, certain circumstances fall outside our responsibility, including airline delays or accidents, loss of luggage, medical issues, or customs regulations. Our liability is limited to the cost of your travel arrangements as outlined in your booking agreement.
Please note that adventure travel inherently carries a higher level of risk than other forms of travel. While we make every effort to inform you and your companions of potential risks, we also take proactive steps to minimize these wherever possible.
- COMPLAINTS
At Nur Altai Tour, we are committed to providing you with the best possible experience. If any issues or complaints arise, we ask that you notify us immediately to ensure we can address and resolve them promptly.
During your trip, if a problem occurs, it is essential to inform your tour leader as soon as possible. Many issues can be resolved on the spot to ensure your continued enjoyment of the tour.
If the matter cannot be resolved locally, please notify us in writing within 14 days of your return to your home country, providing all relevant details and supporting information. We will give your concerns our immediate attention and do our utmost to resolve them to your satisfaction. Please note, if you do not follow this straightforward procedure, we cannot accept responsibility for any unresolved issues, as we would have been deprived of the opportunity to investigate and rectify the situation. We are committed to resolving any issues related to our company with urgency and professionalism.
- ITINERARIES AND FLEXIBILITY
In addition to the itineraries listed on our website, it is common for custom tours to be arranged through flexible agreements between the tour operator and the traveler. In such cases, the itinerary will be based on the tour the traveler has registered for rather than the standard itineraries listed in the agreement.
While Nur Altai Tour strives to avoid changes to confirmed itineraries without valid reasons, unforeseen circumstances may occasionally necessitate modifications. In such cases, we will take prompt and appropriate action to address the situation. We appreciate your understanding of the importance of adapting to the conditions at the time.
If any significant changes to the itinerary are required during the tour, we will notify you as early as possible and take all necessary measures to minimize inconvenience.
- PAYMENT METHODS
We accept payments via major credit cards, including Visa, MasterCard, and American Express, as well as wire transfers. Please note that when paying by credit card through our online payment system, a 4.2% bank processing fee will be automatically added to the total amount. This fee will be reflected in the final payment amount upon reaching the card payment page. If you wish to avoid this fee, you may choose to pay via wire transfer or other available payment options. When you make a payment by card, it will be processed through Golomt Bank’s e-Merchant system. Once you click the payment button, you will be redirected to GOLOMT BANK’s secure website to complete your transaction.
Due to international banking regulations, card transactions may occasionally fail. Based on our experience, this is often related to foreign banks declining transactions due to card limits or other restrictions. In such cases, we recommend trying alternative payment methods or contacting your bank to verify whether there are any restrictions or limits on your card transactions.
When making a payment via wire transfer, please ensure that you include the following details on the transfer form: Your Full Name, Email Address, Phone Number, Tour Name.
“Important Notes:”
– Nur Altai Tour will not be responsible for any discrepancies in the payment amount due to transfer fees charged by the sending or receiving financial institutions.
– Your tour reservation will be confirmed and able to proceed only after full payment has been received. If the payment received by Nur Altai Tour is incomplete, the customer or agent will be required to settle the remaining balance prior to the start of the tour.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding payments, please click “here” to contact us.

All terms and conditions outlined by Nur Altai Tour are governed by and enforced under Mongolian law. Any disputes arising from these terms must be resolved through the Mongolian legal system and in a Mongolian court.
Should you require further action upon your return, we are committed to working towards a mutually agreeable resolution. However, it is essential that you notify us in writing within 21 days of the tour’s completion date to ensure we can address your concerns promptly and effectively.
